Final Thoughts: For those of you who read our blog regularly, you know that I need a total hip replacement. Well, I finally got it scheduled for later this month and currently in the midst of my pre-op treatment and testing. In less than 3 weeks, I will be on the OR table and getting a brand new hip. If you are a Christian, I would appreciate the good thoughts and/or prayers later this month when I undergo this surgery & the rehab that follows. Don’t worry though, the rest of the review team will be here holding down the fort & giveawys will be posted as normal…you won’t miss a thing in my absence! Have a great weekend!
Thanks ladies! I am taking it semi-easy this weekend and next weekend. Got some things I have to do around the house so that they are done before I go in and get laid up. I was told that I have a minimum of an 8 week recovery process…blah!
I will make a blog post before I go in and I am sure Chris will update everyone once it’s over. You all are an AWESOME support system for me!
Oh my – I didn’t know that your hip was that bad. Please do try to take it easy, and all the cleaning and work you do at your new house should wait. Since you risk having the bulb rupture I think that youu have made the right decision. I love the Bruce Lee quote about mistakes – but if you make a mistake and rupture the outcome could be much worse.
WOW – how exciting a new hip! I have a couple of friends who have had that done and they could not be happier! The pain they used to deal with……….gone! Good Luck I am sure you will do great. Keep us posted – our prayers are with you.
A lot of exciting events happening. You are definitely in my prayers. Good for you . I need one also but haven’t made a decision yet. I know foolish. Especially considering the pain I’m in.:)

Hi Carol
Piece of advice…don’t wait too long! We didn’t know that my hip was necrotic and they thought I had a groin pull for 6 months. My hip is practically dead from lack of blood supply and I risk having the bulb in my hip rupturing at this point. I am trying to take it easy until surgery (April 25th) so that I don’t encourage any rupturing. Making the decision to have a hip replacement at 45 was a tough one for me…but I am tired of pain and I don’t want any more damage to my body.
Thanks dear! Prayers are appreciated!
