It’s that time again…time for another “Almost Wordless Wednesday” post and photograph! I really love participating in Wordless (almost) Wednesday as it encourages me to get outside and take some photographs!
Today’s photo is one I took of some beautiful daffodils in full bloom! I planted the bulbs around my street lamp post last Fall and about 2 weeks ago, they started blooming!
Daffodils are my FAVORITE spring flower and I really love the white ones with the yellow centers! Overall, I have about 125 daffodil bunches planted around my house and throughout my yard…that should tell you how much I love them!
Mixed in with some of my daffodils I have other annuals like hyacinths and tulips. Once they are done blooming, it will be time to plant my perennials for the season and I can’t wait to get started on that! Yay!
I think I will be planting some pansies, violets, geraniums, impatients and I am not sure what else…but I can tell you that I love gardening (both veggie and flower) and I am looking forward to spending a lot of time outdoors this gardening season! Bring it on Mother Nature….I am ready!
Beautiful! I want to plant so many flowers still. My bleeding heart bloomed this Spring for the first time…so pretty! I love Spring..my favorite season of all!
Such pretty flowers – I usually plant impatiens and begonias in pots and they lift my spirits.
I love daffodils! I had some growing in a garage-side garden, but they got eaten by the pesky rabbits. 🙁
My mom had planted the same flowers in the backyard(daffodils, hyacinths and tulips) as well as crocus flowers. When I was a kid, I would pick the daffodils and wrap the stems with aluminum foil to make a bouquet.
Irises are my favorites. They should be blooming soon…fingers crossed!
No flowers in Iowa yet-but the weeds are already coming in
I have seen crocuses and daffodils in bloom around the house. I think some of the plants aren’t sure what to do with the weather going back and forth from cold 30’s , 40’s to 60’s today. I am ready for the warmer weather to come and stay.
How beautiful and inspirational – as long as it doesn’t snow again (our last snow was Sunday – arrgh)! I can’t wait to see the crocuses -always my favorite as they seem much more wild.
How pretty! Yayyyyy for Spring!
We had 5 inches of snow yesterday. I saw my first dandelions on Monday before the snow covered them up. Your flowers make me think it might be spring.. More pictures of flowers, please.
I have been seeing a lot of daffodils in bloom around the neighborhood – they are such a cheerful flower!
