Palm Dinner Plates and Serving Ware from Marx Foods

** Complimentary Products Received for Review **

Today I would like to introduce you to a company called Marx Foods based out of the great city known as Seattle. Marx Foods sells all kinds of great foodie products like meats, poultry, seafood, produce, mushrooms, pantry items, samplers and more!

As you all know, I love to cook, bake, entertain and be in my home kitchen. With that said, I am always on the lookout for new and interesting kitchen products. Well, I found some interesting ones today and I am pretty excited to tell you all about them.

Marx Foods sent me several complimentary pieces of PALM PLATES or as some would call them…Palm Dinner Pieces to check out for all of you. Here is a list of what I received:

* Heart Shaped Dinner Plate
* Round Palm Leaf Dinner Plate
* Palm Leaf Oval Dish
* Hexagonal Palm Leaf Dinner Plate
* Hexagonal Palm Leaf Salad Plate
* Small Palm Leaf Round Bowl
* Disposable Birchwood Spoons & Forks

About the Products: These elegant, durable disposable party plates are an eco-friendly alternative to paper or plastic. They are timber-free, biodegradable & compostable.

Palm Dinner Plates

My Thoughts: I am not a fan of disposable plastic or paper products and try to avoid them like the plague. Seriously, I would rather wash dishes for 3 days than deal with disposable plastic/paper items. I am not the most eco-friendly person in the world, but I do try to be eco-friendly as much as I can.

We had a backyard barbecue last week and even though I didn’t have complete sets of these items (just a complimentary sampler pack), I decided to use them as serving pieces. I served our hamburger rolls on one, hotdog rolls on another, deviled eggs on one and so forth. I really like how these palm plates and palm serving pieces looked on our table…rustic but an upscale rustic-ness to them.

Another thing I like about these eco-friendly palm plates and serving pieces is that they are super affordable! I was thinking they would cost a fortune like some eco-friendly products do…but pleasantly surprised at how affordable they are.

I think they are fabulous for family picnics, backyard barbecues, outdoor dinner parties, etc. I love the sizes, shapes, fabrication and well…just the overall look to them. Fabulous product!

You can check out all of the Palm Plates and Palm Serving Pieces that Marx Foods has to offer. I think you will be pleased with the quality, selections and the prices!

    I’m with you. I don’t like to buy or use paper products, but sometimes it’s necessary. Thanks for this post – I’ve ordered some of the palm plates for a school function coming up. They are so cool looking!

    I love the look of these dishes and the food that sits on them looks pretty good too. I don’t have any wooden dishes but these would be nice.

    These are REALLY nice! I’ve never seen anything like this before. They look like very expensive, hand-crafted items that you might buy at an ethnic bazaar. I love them!

    These do look nice! I like using eco friendly options whenever possible, so this would be a nice compromise for large events when I don’t want to be washing for days.

    These look like really nice disposable plates. These are a little too pricy for my budget but they really do look nice.

    This dishes are so beautiful it is hard to think that they are paper. I would use them for parties and impress my guests and still be ‘green’

    We use a lot of paper plates, the heavy duty kind, but only for certain things. Disposable has both good and bad points. I love the look of these…almost like a wood grain appearance. Real adds to the durable, green product.

    I like the Palm Dinner Plates and I like you have been trying to cut back on my usages of paper plates, and disposables and that fact that these plates and serving wear is 100%biodegradable they will not lay in our city dump for hundreds of years like plastic bottles and plates, do.. THank you for the review
