I first had the pleasure of reviewing some products from Dorcy Direct a few months ago and today, it is my pleasure to feature their fine products on our blog again.
For our review today, we received the Dorcy Single Globe L.E.D. Lantern which can be used for camping, hiking, outdoor entertaining or used as emergency lighting during & after a severe storm.

My Thoughts: In the past 2 years we have been hit with 2 hurricanes, several tropical storms, an earthquake, a few ice storms and countless severe thunderstorms. We lose power a lot after a severe storm blows through. When hurricane Sandy slammed us, we were without power for almost a week! Having emergency lighting is important to us and we like to keep our emergency kit well stocked with emergency supplies.
In addition to that, we are outdoors a lot! We love to go camping, hiking, rock climbing and we do a lot of entertaining outdoors during the summertime. Having several battery powered lanterns is a must have for my family.
This particular lantern is really nice because it’s made out of durable high-quality plastic which makes it light-weight. You can easily tuck it into a backpack, camping kit, store in the trunk of your car, garage or any where else you may need to store one. It doesn’t take up a lot of room at all.
In addition to that, I like that I can sit it on a table, shelf or hang it up thanks to the handy dandy hanging hook. The 80 Lumens 360 degree lighting is awesome! This lantern is super bright and you would ONLY need one of the to light up a room or camp site area. We lost power for 4 hours last week due to a thunderstorm and we used our lantern until our power came back on. Due to it being light-weight, I was able to take it all over the house with me as I puttered around after the storm.
