Gourmet Dessert Toppings by Robert Rothschild Farm

Trust me, we have been a Robert Rothschild Farms lover for over 10 years now!

My Review: The great folks over at Robert Rothschild Farm sent me 2 complimentary jars of their new gourmet dessert toppings to try out for all of you. For the review, we received a jar of the new Key Lime Curd & Tart Filling and a jar of the new Lemon Curd & Tart Filling. These toppings are a great representation of the bold flavor & expert blending that Robert Rothschild Farm is recognized for in the gourmet industry.

For the purpose of this review I decided to bake up a large batch of homemade cupcakes using a boxed white cake mix. I followed the directions on the box and mixed up the batter and baked them until done. I left the cupcakes cool and then cut the tops off of them and then scooped out some of the centers using a melon baller to hollow them out.

Once I was done with that, I placed a tablespoon full of the dessert toppings inside each of the cupcakes. Half of them got the Key Lime Curd & Tart Filling and the other half got the Lemon Curd & Tart Filling. I placed the cupcake tops back onto each cupcake and then frosted them with some cream cheese frosting. I didn’t want to make them overly sweet (with the filling and the frosting) so I used less frosting on each cupcake than what I normally use.

We had the family over last weekend to spend some time with me before my hip surgery and they tore those cupcakes up! Both flavors were winners here but if I had to pick an overall winner, it definitely would be the Key Lime Curd & Tart Filling for sure! Delicious!
