The great folks over at Nantucket Brand sent me their Blue Knee Length Seersucker Skirt to review for all of you. This skirt is perfect for all of those fun summer vacations you will be taking or to just wear out and about this summer.
Seersucker is always in-style and fashionable during the hotter months of summer because it’s airy, breezy and cool to wear. This particular skirt is made out of soft 100% cotton, machine wash and dry.
The skirt features wide belt loops that go around the waist, 2 slanted side pockets, 1 back pocket and a clasp closure with a zipper fly. It’s cut in a slight A-line shape which is flattering on everyone. The skirt is 19″ long and comes just above my knees and I am 5 ft. 6″ in height.
Let’s talk about seersucker and let me tell you…not all seersucker is created equally! The seersucker fabrication of this skirt is a medium-weight (nothing is going to show through underneath, so no slip is needed). Second, the fabrication has a nice “hand” to it and feels nice & cool against your skin. On those hot & humid days of summer, seersucker clothing is definitely what you need!
I love the fit to this skirt! It’s not skin-tight and body hugging at all. It sits really comfortable at your natural waistline and if desired, you can indeed pull it down to sit a little lower. I love 19″ length skirts because they are not minis and they are not too long, a great length for everyone.
This type of skirt can be worn very casually with a nice tee & flip flops and it can be dressed up a bit with a white button-down shirt & wedge heels. Summer fashion is all about easy, breezy, beautiful & casual attire and this nautical seersucker skirt is absolutely perfect! I love it!
