I have been having a great time being a Good Cook Kitchen Expert and getting to try out some of the new products of their extensive kitchen product and tool line. For this review I was sent their new nonstick cutlery set to try out and I have to tell you, I was in heaven. I have an addiction to great knives and cutlery so to be able to try out some new ones that are non stick was going to be fun!
The Good Cook Nonstick Cutlery set consists of 6 different knives that each have a different purpose in your kitchen. They are:
Nonstick Utility Knife, 5” blade
Nonstick Sandwich Knife, 5” blade
Nonstick Bread Knife, 7” blade
Nonstick Chef Knife, 5” blade
Nonstick Santoku Knife, 5” blade
Nonstick Paring Knife, 4” blade
These nonstick-coated knives come in inviting colors for ready access — the bright coding signals that purple is for sandwiches, green is for paring, etc. The serrated blades are crafted from high-carbon steel, which stays sharp through regular use. The nonstick coating prevents crumbs from sticking. Each knife includes a safety sheath to help protect the blade and allow for safe storage. The soft-grip, ergonomic handle fits comfortably in the hand and provides better control when slicing and when hands are wet.
I have been using these knives for several weeks now and my husband and I both have been enjoying using these. One of my favorites is the sandwich knife. This is such a cool versatile tool. It is great. The blade is flat so it an be used as a spreader and then the side is serrated so that you can cut through a sandwich. I love that you now need just one tool to handle anything having to do with bread, cheese, as well as any other way you can use this. I use this knife so much!
Also great to use the is Paring Knife. This is a great size and a nice weight. It feels comfortable in my hand and the blade is sharp so you jut go right through the veggies or whatever you are cutting. The Chef knife and the Santoku knife is also fabulous for cutting and prepping food and those are my hubby’s favorites for that use.
The Bread knife is a great size to use. We often bake our own bread so having a good bread knife for us is huge plus! The Utility knife is the perfect size for any job and I often use it when prepping meats for cooking and just general preparation of our meals.
Another great plus to these knives is the covers that comes with each one. It makes for safe storage of your knives. I also like the non stick part of these knives. The food slides right off and the wash very easily too. The colors are very fun and bright so they are easy to find in your drawer.
