I have to admit, I love popcorn. I grew up having popcorn, freshly made, every Saturday evening while watching television. My mom or Dad would make it right on the stovetop in a big pot and then add hot, melted butter and salt. It was my favorite snack and today, it still is! I taught my son how to make it on the stove top too. Starting as a toddler, I would let him sit on the counter and watch it pop in the hot oil and today he loves the fresh popcorn over microwave stuff any day!

I was sent a cool GH Cretors variety box that contained their five main products. Chicago Mix, Caramel, Caramel Nut Crunch, Cheddar and Kettle Corn. The first thing I noticed was the packaging. This is a different package than what is normally found in stores and probably a main reason their product tastes just like it was made… because it probably went from popper to package, lickity split. The package is a foil interior with a waxy feel to the outer layer. Sealed inside was all that goodness!
I am a Caramel Corn lover and that Nut Crunch was the first thing I tore into. Gosh, it was so awesome! I am amazed at the uniform consistency of the popcorn. The kernels are popped nice and fat and round. No split kernels at all. I think this is the perfect popcorn. I am intrigued but not enough to stop from enjoying this product over and over.
All of the other products are just as good. The cheese corn has a nice flavor that is not fake tasting or suspiciously overly orange in color. The mix of the Caramel and Cheddar (Chicago Mix) was an interesting concept. Since I am not a mixer, I had to eat the separately LOL. But each item was perfect in taste and how the looked. I love that. Even the Kettle Corn, which I expected to have a high sweetness taste, was mild and had just the right amount of flavor and taste to it. That is so different from the product you can buy at fairs and such. I don’t care for it normally, but this good!
