Get Todays Look With L.A. Girl USA Cosmetics
It is fun to get a bit wild with color. I love using bright colors on my nails and experimenting with color on my eyes and face. Sometimes it is our own perception that hold us back from a certain use of color. For years and years, I stayed away from pink on my lips. I never thought it would look good because of my skin tone. One day I needed some lip gloss and the only color I had in my stash was a tube of light pink that a client never picked up so I used it. It is the best color, hands down, that I ever wore on my face. I sure learned my lesson! So I got better at trying out bright colors and fun cosmetics. I was able to sample some brand new products from L.A. Girl USA Cosmetics this week and I cannot wait to share them with you.
L.A. Girl Cosmetics brings today’s look to you in a whole range of traditional and bright colors. I was sent several of their newest products that are just hitting the market to try out for you today. I was able to try out their Super Mega Mascara, Glide Pencil, Color Balm, Sand Blast Polish and 3D Effects Polish. I was excited!
I love good mascara so one of the first things I wanted to check out was their Super Mega Mascara. As many of you reading this know, I have been using a lash lengthening product for many weeks and my lashes are really getting long. I wanted to see how much length I could get with a mascara like this. The first thing I noticed is that this brush is big. It is fat and thick so I should be able to get some good length and great color. The brush did do a great job but one thing I did not like was that my tube was a bit dry so I had to reapply many times to get the effect of the mascara that I wanted. I loved the thickness and look, but a bit more moisture to this would have made the job quicker.
The polishes were great. I love the colors! I could not decide which one to wear so I applied them each on one hand and wore them like that for a week or so. haha They did hold up pretty well to all of the typing and abuse I give my nails, so I was happy about that. The coral color is the Sand Blast polish. This line has some type of fine sand or something inside that dries to a textured matt finish. It feels cool and it would be a great base for nail art and such. I love the color but I need to add a top coat to get a nice glassy shine to it, if this is all I wore.
The purple is the 3D Effects polish. I really like that one a lot. It has a lot of shine and sparkle to it. I love the pretty color too. Even my hubby liked it. Now that is different! It wore well and the grape color is very spring like.
The Color Balm Lip Balm is a great find. I love tinted balms because they are so easy to use. Just tuck them in a pocket or purse and you are ready to use it at any time. The color was a bright pink and it kind of reminded me of a color geared for teens as it was a bit bright for me but I love the results of the balm. It wore for several hours and did a nice job moisturizing my lips. I toned it down with some gloss over the top and it was great.
My last item is the Glide Eyeliner. This is a cross between a liquid and a traditional pencil liner and it worked great! This comes in 19 hot colors and I was hooked from the get go. The product stayed on very well and it is so easy to use. I love pencils because you can smudge the color or keep it clean and straight. I have used many pencils that worked like a regular pencil. You felt like you were ripping your skin just to apply some product. This is beautifully easy to apply and the name speaks for it self. Great product at a great price!
