Allergies are a terrible thing that many of us have to deal with every spring and fall. I used to never have allergies, but when I moved from the Bay Area of California to the valley where a lot of the farming is done, I began to get horrible allergy issues; mainly sinus headaches daily but often terrible illness too. I was miserable every early spring and fall due to the harvest for many years. Eventually I got used to it and stopped suffering as much but itchy, watery eyes still get me every so often, like this year! When I was asked to review eye health products from Optics Lab, I was only too happy about that!
Optics Labs makes several eye care products that you are going to find yourself reaching for over and over. They make such brands as OcuFresh Eye Wash, Mini Drops Lubricant Eye Drops, Rewetting Drops and OcuSave. I am going to be sharing info with you all of these today as I was sent a lovely package that contains each one of these.
Eye drops are great for spring allergies due to their soothing properties. I also find myself reaching for them when I have something in my eye like mascara or an eyelash. Gosh, those hurt! The other day, I woke up and felt my eye was scratched or I had something in there. It stayed like that all day long, feeling sore and it was so red too. After before bed, I used the Minidrops. These are very cool because they come in a separate vial so you are not at risk for contaminating at bottle or your eye with something from an over used dirty bottle. I simply snapped off the top and there is enough for both eyes. I love it.
The Mini Drops felt great going in. There was no burning sensation at all! It felt very soothing and calming to my eye. In the morning, my eye still felt weird, but not as much so. So I applied another dose and within a few hours, whatever it was in my eye or bothering it had disappeared. Thanks goodness! I really like this product because it felt so nice. My husband uses drops almost every day and they are the ones that burn at bit so I gave him these to use and he is very happy with these drops too!
My son wear contacts every day, all day. No matter how many times I bug him about his eyes, he keeps wearing them often. So I gave him the Eyecept Drops for Contacts to try out. These too are in a single use vial that you can take with you anywhere. I love this concept! My son has used the drops several times and told me that they are very refreshing to his eye and they lubricated the eye without bothering his lenses at all. Sometimes your contact will cloud up or float out of place when using some drops, but not with these. I gave him a few packs to throw in his swim bag so that he would have them whenever he needed them.
Another product I gave my son is the OcuFresh Eye Wash. This is an easy to use eye wash that comes in single use vials along with a small eye cup. This is an awesome item for use in emergency kits but also for rinsing out dust, pollen, and debris from your eyes, or like my son, excessive chlorine after swimming. His eye get so red so I think that this is the perfect answer for him!
Another item that was included in this review items is Optics Lab is the OcuSave. This are daily vitamins for long term eye health. These vitamins contain 50mg lutein and 10mg zeaxanthin which are antioxidants that work well for the eye. It also contains essential minerals that are important for ocular health. These vitamins have been known to help prevent or slow the progression of macular degeneration and to reduce the risk of cataracts. This is very important to me because my eyes are my weak part of my body and my mother had issues with her eyes as she grew older. She eventually ended up with glaucoma and any thing I can to prevent issues would be awesome for me.
All of the products from Optics Lab are preservative free and are doctor approved. I love that they are in single use packages so you can take them everywhere with you. Perfect for summer outings!
These products are available for purchase at CVS, Walgreen, RiteAid and Amazon. These products are definitely something you should add to your shopping list this week. Get relief from allergens easily!
