Don’t Go by Lisa Scottoline Audio Book
Lisa Scottoline is such a talented writer and I have been lucky to be able to have reviewed several of her books in the past. So when a new audiobook and print book came out and I was asked to review it, I was so excited and very ready to dig right into it.

Lisa Scottoline is well known for her emotionally charged novels that feature strong women that stretch the boundaries of family, love and justice. But in her newest novel, Don’t Go, she has changed direction completely with an amazing story of a male soldier who discovers what it means to be a man, father and hero.
Dr. Mike Scanlon is called to serve as an Army doctor in Afghanistan, ripping him away from his wife, newborn baby and medical practice. But while he is away, all things are not right at the home front. While Mike operates on a wounded soldier in another country, Chloe, his wife, dies at home, in what is considered a freak household accident. When he returns home to bury her, he discovers that the life he left behind has fallen apart. He’s a stranger to his baby girl, who cries and screams whenever he approaches her plus his medical practice has downsized and may even disappear in his absence. But as he looks for reasons why is wife died, he learns a shocking secret that sends his life into a emotional mess.
Grief-stricken, Mike makes a very hard decision so he can return to Afghanistan as required, knowing that it will change his life forever. How can he even make a life changing decision like that? Once he returns home for good, Mike knows what he has to do to get his life back on track. Making difficult decisions and learning unsettling truths about others is a harsh pill to swallow but getting his life back is Mike’s only concern.
The book is read by Jeremy Davidson, who played the role of Master Sergeant Chase Morgan for the first 5 seasons on the television show Army Wives as well as guest starring in many other shows. With his voice taking on the main character of Mike, it takes this book to a new level. I love listening to audio stories because you get pulled into the story and Don’t Go is a fabulous story that you will not want to stop listening to.
The Author is a great story teller that has crafted a story that is gripping with a bit of mystery thrown in. You will find yourself going through a lot of different emotions in this storyline. This is one book that you will want to grab either in book for or on audio for a great read.
