Dear Neighbors – Please Keep Your Dogs in Your Own Yard!

April 23, 2013 by Shelly

I wanted to give you all an update regarding my neighbors & the dog crap (poop) situation that I blogged about last week.

After getting FIRMER with our verbal language to them regarding the dogs coming over and crapping in our yard daily, they are making more of an effort to keep the dogs in their own yard. We caught the dogs over here a few times and chased them back & we have seen/heard them yelling at the dogs to stay in the yard. It has gotten somewhat better…but not good enough.

We’re so sick and tired of finding piles of dog poop in our front and back yards. It stinks, it draws in the flies and bugs and no one wants to accidentally step in it. I just don’t understand why these particular neighbors think that it’s okay for their dogs to poop in other people’s yards. Oh…no…they never come over and clean it up either! Disgusting!!!

We are going to keep the pressure up (on them) to keep their dogs in their own dang yard! If that doesn’t work…we will report them to our township. I told my husband that we should go out and purchase a few of those signs that say…no dog pooping and place them around our yard too. I hate having stress going on with neighbors but we’re not going to tolerate this for much longer. I’ll keep you up-to-date as this goes along.

I moved into a yard that (used to be) the neighborhood dog toilet. It was disgusting. So now I’ve had fun retraining the 3 that come over from different neighbors…things have changed. Not a public toilet anymore. Not a fun job especially when one dog belongs to your landlord LOL

Congratulation to Heather. I am sure she will love baking with ths cookbook.
I am glad that your neighbors are trying a little harder to keep their dogs out of your yard. You are right to keep up the pressure. Did you hear back from the town council or police when you wrote them?
