Now that it’s getting warmer outside, I am ready to ditch the boots and slap on some flip flops…matter of fact, I tend to live in flip flops during the late Spring, Summer and early Fall months.
With that said, not all flip flops are created equally! Those cheap rubber ones you buy in a five & dime store do nothing for the health of your balance or comfort level at all. I guess you get what you pay for from those types of stores.
Today, I want to introduce you to the footwear company called Pluggz who makes a line of footwear that helps to improve your balance, comfort, energized, etc. The company sells a variety of shoe styles for both men and women. Here is some information about Pluggz from their site.
Product Info: Each pair contains black plugs made from a custom carbon and rubber compound that sit under a weight bearing part of our feet ensuring electrical contact between us and the earth. These plugs are designed to conduct a flow of free electrons from the earth to our bodies. This proprietary technology allows us to get grounded when we walk on grass, sand, soil – or even concrete.
My Review: I was pretty excited to receive a new pair of women’s flip flops for review from the great folks over at Pluggz. The flip flops come in 3 different colors: silver, gold and black and retail for $39.00 per pair. As soon as you take them out of the package, you will notice the “plug” that embedded into the sole of each flip flop.
The flip flops feature a 100% rubber sole that is pretty flexible. It isn’t stiff like most other flip flops that I have seen. If you are worried about arch support, don’t be! These flip flops are not completely flat like a traditional flip flop and have embedded arch support. That makes me happy as I often get arch pain from walking around in flip flops that don’t have any type of arch support.
The flip flops feature your traditional thong-style strap and the strap is in the color of the flip flops that you purchase…in my case, a pretty silver color and the side of the strap has a little faux jewel accent to add some pizazz.
They are generously cut…I stayed true-to-size and they fit me perfectly. I tend to have a medium to wide width foot and they fit my foot really well. Personally, I would NOT size up on them at all.
The first time I put them onto my feet, they did feel funny because I was not used to walking around in flip flops that had arch support or that plug in the bottom. After a few hours…that funny feeling was gone and they felt totally natural on my feet. They are a LOT more comfortable than a regular old pair of cheap flip flops! These are quality ones and you will feel the difference right away.
I am really enjoying them and as soon as we hit 70 degrees here, I will be sporting my new flip flops all of the time. For now, I have been sporting them around the house and they are really comfortable! Yay!
