Beautiful Old Buildings

April 9, 2013 by Classystaff

I love old buildings and architecture, don’t you? It is so interesting to see it up close and personal and I make a point of seeing old buildings as much as I can. Yes, the new ones are pretty but the old ones have so much character! Last week, I had to go to an event for work and it was held at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium in downtown Sacramento. This building was so pretty I had to take a picture as we were leaving when it was all lit up. I love it and wanted to share it with you. Hope you enjoy it too!

Do you like looking at old historic buildings? If so, do you have any favorites?

Old building show so much more character than new ones. New ones can be beautiful and sleek or challenging, but they do not have all the detailed work that was carved into old buildings. This photo shows some of that work.

I appreciate any beautiful building even if it’s not that old. The oldest building where I live happens to be the only remaining governor’s mansion of the original 13 colonies. Unfortunately the building’s outside needs a lot of work, but, some major renovations on the interior has been completed and it looks fantastic.

I love the old buildings in our town, some of them have the original business names carved on the facade

I was at an event tonight at the Governor’s mansion. Beautiful details in the rooms. It was built in 1908.

There is definitely something very mesmerizing about old architecture – some of the details are very interesting!
