You know that time of day, right smack in the middle of the afternoon, where you crave something sweet or you just need a snack? It is like all energy is zapped away. I now have a favorite mid-afternoon pick me up. I have been sampling some amazing luxury hot chocolate flavors this week, compliments of our friends at Whittard of Chelsea, and I have to tell you, I am a spoiled girl!
Whittard of Chelsea has been providing amazing teas, coffees, cocoas, china and more for over 125 years. I chose the hot chocolate to sample and I am so glad I did!
Just like any little child, I love hot cocoa. Don’t You? The smell of amazing cocoa wafting though the house just brings a smile to your face. And let me tell you, this chocolate that I have been sampling is nothing like anything I have had before. I truly understand what it means to have a luxury chocolate. my goodness….
I was sent 3 different cocoas to try. I got the regular Hot Chocolate, the Caramel Hot Chocolate and the White Hot Chocolate. They come in good size containers that you just scoop out as much as you want. I started with the Caramel. It is simple to make but just heating up some milk and pouring it into a cup with the cocoa. The aroma and the taste was amazing. It is not like the cocoa we buy here at the store. The Whittard’s is not as sweet and the cocoa flavor is silky and amazing.
Let me tell you the smell of the chocolate went through the whole house. My son came home and asked what that was and what I told him it was hot chocolate, he was amazed at the wonderful smell of chocolate. He is not a huge chocolate fan, except for when it comes to drinking hot cocoa. When he heard what it was, he had to try it and the only thing that came out of his mouth was “Oh My”. It honestly is the best hot chocolate I have ever had the pleasure of drinking.
With the Caramel flavor, I thought it would be overly sweet like many grocery brands but this has just a nice background of the caramel. It does not over power the amazing taste of the chocolate in the least. The White Chocolate is a a touch sweeter but tastes wonderful too. The regular Luxury Hot Chocolate is awesome too. It is smooth and not overly sweet.
I just love all of these flavors. My son has been enjoying them as well. This is one treat that I plan on keeping in my home always! No more cheap cocoas. It is so not worth it when you taste these.

15 flavors! Almost makes you long for winter days again…almost but I think I will just drink the cocoa in the spring sun and be happy. 🙂 Never heard of this company, but wea re always trying out new cocoas. Sometimes we use our own recipes and sometimes we use mixes. We have to have cocoa on hand. You can even add the mix to baking recipes for some delicious desserts.
This Hot Chocolate that you got from Whittard looks very delicious. I do not like a lot of the fake tasting hot chocolate that they have in the grocery store. This hot Chocolate looks like it is made with very good quality of Chocolate! I would love to try the Creme Brulee!
I drink very little alcohol so some of your drink recipes look good, but I probably won’t try them. Creme Brulee Hot Chocolate!!! Sign me up! I need to upgrade to these.
