As you all know, I have a precious ‘almost’ 4 year old grand daughter who we spend a lot of time with. Matter of fact, I swear that Pappy and I are her best friends and we spend every minute with her that we can get.
We are a christian household and want to raise our little grand daughter with our christian values. Finding toys, games and videos that are christian in nature, can often times be difficult to find. When Princess Gia turned 2 years old, we introduced her to VeggieTales. She has several of the VeggieTales toys, games and videos in her collection. She loves them!
Our DVD review today is on the VeggieTales “The Little House That Stood” and let me tell you, she is already in-love with this DVD.
DVD Synopsis: When the Three Little Pigs roll into Cabbageville looking to build some new houses, they meet one builder with a plan and two without a clue! Larry builds with hay, Mr. Lunt with bricks, but only Bob builds his house on a firm foundation ~ following the wise plans from the “Master Builder’s Handbook!” Will the Little Piggies make the right choices when it comes to building their houses and their lives on solid ground? Find out in this parable that shows kids that when they follow God’s blueprints, they can stand strong when the storms come!
Plus ~ Ever wonder what happened before Humpty cracked? Find out in this very Veggie retelling of the classic Humpty Dumpty story “The Good Egg of Gooseville.” This DVD also features the silly song “Happy Tooth Day.”
Our Thoughts: As I previously stated, we are very familiar with the VeggieTales and our grand daughter loves anything and everything that has to do with them. Princess Gia seems to really love Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato as her two favorite VeggieTales characters.
This dvd is absolutely cute, fun and well…entertaining! It’s quality christian entertainment for your kids and grandkids! We watched the video several times now with Princess Gia and her favorite story out of the two featured on this dvd is “The Three Little Pigs.”
