Triple Slow Cooker Entertaining 100+ Recipes

March 17, 2013 by Shelly

One of my personal favorite small kitchen appliances happens to be my slow cooker! Matter of fact, I own three of them in three different sizes! I use my slow cooker a minimum of twice a week to make dinner for my family and sometimes I will make a tasty dessert in it too!

Today, I am reviewing the “Triple Slow Cooker Entertaining 100+ Recipes and 30 Party Plans” cookbook for all of you.

ISBN: 978-0-7788-0444-4
Pages: 216 pages with 24 color photo pages
Cover Price: $24.95 US/Canada
Publisher: Robert Rose Books

Book Synopsis: Let’s have a party! In the past, those simple words might have invoked anxiety, but no more! Thanks to the innovative triple slow cookers now available, one slow cooker with three stoneware vessels ~ throwing a terrific party just got much easier. What buffet table is complete without a slow cooker full of meatballs, dip, chili or another tasty dish? With triple slow cookers, you can offer a greater variety of these delicious, hot, slow-cooked foods.

There’s a menu for virtually every occasion, from New Year’s Eve to a child’s birthday party to Halloween to Oscar night. This is truly an invaluable resource, whether you’re a veteran party planner or hosting an event for the first time.

About the Authors Kathy Moore & Roxanne Wyss: These ladies are leading experts in small appliances and the authors of five cookbooks. Their food-consulting firm develops recipes, tests products and generally sets the standard for innovative recipes & food information.

Shelly’s Thoughts: As I previously stated at the beginning of this post, I am a die-hard slow cooker user. Even though I don’t own a triple slow cooker, I knew I could still use this cookbook and I wasn’t wrong about that! One of the things I love about this cookbook is it’s large size (7″ by 10″) which makes reading the recipes really easy. The 24 pages of photos are very eye-appealing and give you great ideas on food presentation.

In this cookbook you will find recipes such as: Vidalia Onion Soup, Tamale Meatballs, BBQ Ribs, Fruited Oatmeal, Old-Fashioned Warm Fruit Compote, Biscuits & Gravy, Tex-Mex Spinach Soup, Chipotle Beef with Tomato Salsa, Chicken Con Queso, Hot Corn Dip, New Orleans Spicy BBQ Shrimp, Strawberry Rhubarb Dessert, Back-Wrapped Chicken Bites, Creamy Caramel Fondue, Bacon-Cheese Fondue, Tangy Red Cabbage and many more!

Every recipe in this cookbook comes with an ingredients list, directions and you will find some preparation & presentation tips too! All of the chapters and recipes are laid out really nicely and it would make a great addition to your coookbook collection, especially if you do a lot of entertaining or use your slow cooker pretty often. I give this cookbook 8 stars out of 10 stars on my cookbook rating scale. Yeah!

This sounds like a great cookbook. I am especially interested in the
Tamale Meatballs and Strawberry Rhubarb Dessert recipes.

The soups caught my eye first: Tex-Mex Spinach Soup and Vidalia Onion. Slow cookers are so helpful
