As you all know, I live in Pennsylvania, near Hershey to be exact. Anyway, Every 3 to 4 weeks I get together with my girlfriends and we head to one of the wonderful Pennsylvania day spas in our area. Have any of you been to a day spa before?
When we go to a day spa, we make an entire day of it! We hit the spa first for our pampering treatments and then afterwards we go out for dinner and drinks. It’s a great way to relieve some stress, make ourselves feel better and more importantly, a great way to have some “ME” time that all moms deserve!
At the spa, we like to get our hair done, a manicure and pedicure, a relaxing full body massage and we like to get facials. If the spa is not too busy, we will also get our eye brows waxed and get instructions on the latest and greatest make-up applications and color trends.
Just last week, five of us got together and headed to the spa. We spent a total of 3 1/2 hours getting ourselves all beautified and looking nice. After our beauty treatments, we went out to dinner at the Olive Garden and had a great time.
While we were at the Olive Garden having dinner, two guys dining beside us kept flirting with us and paying us compliments on how nice we looked. As girls, we just giggled at their silliness as we were not interested in them at all. However, it was nice to have that kind of attention paid to us while we were out having some fun.
I am very fortunate that I live in South Central Pennsylvania and right outside the capital of our state, Harrisburg. We have a lot of nice day spas in our area and many of them are very affordably priced. It’s always a fun activity to do with my very special girlfriends and we look forward to doing it every month.
