Scheckter’s Organic Energy Drinks for a Natural Energy Boost

March 31, 2013 by Kristine

Over the last week, I’ve been reviewing Scheckter’s Organic Energy™ Drinks and tried both the regular beverage and the light version. I really enjoyed both of them and actually replaced my morning “fix” at my local coffee shop with these beverages. According to the company, one drink is equivalent to a premium cup of organic coffee, so I was probably getting a very similar amount of caffeine. Not only did these drinks have a zippy effervescence, but they tasted really good too. I would grab one on my way out the door before work and by the time I got to the office, I didn’t miss my daily latte at all. I felt awake and ready to face the day.Scheckter's Organic Energy Drinks

I’ve tried other energy drinks in the past, but was not much of a fan as they made me jittery and made my heart feel like it was doing the rumba in my chest. I didn’t experience that at all with these drinks and best of all, I didn’t have a giant “crash” several hours later where I felt like snuggling up under my desk for a long winter’s nap.

Just looking at all of the natural ingredients that have gone into these beverages, it is apparent that this is not your ordinary energy drink. The company has done its fair share of research, development and testing to create a natural product with none of the artificial sweeteners, colorants and flavorings you find in so many beverages today.

Scheckter’s Organic Beverages are the world’s first 100% natural, organic certified FairTrade approved energy drinks (FairTrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers). They use no artificial colors or preservatives. Extracts from organic raw green coffee beans and organic guarana give the physical and mental endurance from caffeine, the organic gingko biloba helps with mental performance, and the organic ginseng will help your body deal with stress better. Not sure about you, but I could use a little help with my memory now and then and could absolutely stand to deal with stress a little better!

Scheckter’s also uses organic, FairTrade raw cane sugar to help blend the flavors and provide additional energy and the drinks are made with organic pomegranate and organic elderberry juice, which are known to be rich in antioxidants. Additionally, the benefit of Scheckter’s particular blend of 100% natural ingredients is that the energy is released slowly over a longer period of time, creating a sustainable energy lift that avoids the short lift and sudden “crash” of other energy drinks that I mentioned earlier.

I found these drinks to be a great way to start my mornings, but I definitely think they would provide a good boost before a work out or pick-me up in the afternoon too. You can really taste the natural ingredients and juices in the product. Not only do they use pomegranate and elderberry juices, but the drinks also contain lemon juice, natural spring water and none of the synthetic products like aspartame, that you find in many other beverages.

To sum it up, these drinks combine ingredients we can all pronounce; they taste great and are 100% natural and organic. I’ll drink to that!

I love that these energy drinks are 100% natural and organic, but I wonder abut the calories and natural sugar amount.

I don’t buy energy drinks is because they’re just too expensive and not worth buying.

I too avoided energy drinks because they all made me jumpy and fidgety. These drinks sound like a great way to stop the coffee and pick up a ;little energy. Which I need everyday. 🙂 Thanks for your review. Off to check out their site.

I’ve avoided energy drinks because of all the ‘stuff’ in them. These are much more what I’d want in an energy drink: organic & fair trade.
