Now that Winter is officially over, I am looking to get the health of my skin back on track. Every winter…my skin gets overly dry and very chapped, I guess that is the price I pay for living in the North East! When it comes to feeling luminous, I think I feel that way when my skin looks healthy, younger and glowing. How about you?
Today, I would like to talk to you all about the line of skin care products by Pond’s from their Luminous Line of products. Pond’s has always been one of my favorite skin care brands and I was really excited to be reviewing 4 products for you. Here is some additional information on each of the 4 products that I received.
Pond’s Luminous Moisture Day Lotion with SPF 15 – This day lotion offers sun protection in a light, non-greasy day lotion that contains UVA/UVB protection against skin-damaging rays to help maintain skin’s natural radiance. It is enriched with illuminating minerals known to brighten dull skin.
Pond’s Luminous Clean Cream Cleanser – Gently draws out trapped impurities and make-up to brighten dull skin. It is enriched with soft white Kaolin clay, known to act like a magnet to gently draw out deep-dwelling impurities. Product is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and dermatologist tested.
Pond’s Luminous Clean Daily Exfoliating Cleanser – This product deeply cleans and exfoliates dull skin to renew it’s radiance. It is enriched with soft white Kaolin clay, known to act like a magnet to gently draw out deep-dwelling impurities.
Pond’s Luminous Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes – These soft-textured cleansing cloths gently draw out trapped makeup and impurities to instantly revive dull skin. It is enriched with soft white Kaolin clay, known to act like a magnet to gently draw out deep-dwelling impurities.
My Thoughts: As I previously stated, I am a lover of the Pond’s skin care products but never had a chance to try any of these 4 products until now. For every day use, I have been using the Pond’s Luminous Clean Cream Cleanser which has a really nice consistency to it. It is definitely a “creamy cleanser” that applies easily onto your face. I found that a little bit of cleanser goes a long way! It rinses off quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky film behind. Love it!
I have been using the Pond’s Luminous Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes about twice a week to wash my face before bed (on days that I have make-up to remove). These towelettes are pre-moistened which is really cool! You use one wet towelette every time you want to wash/clean your face and then rinse with clean water, pat dry and your done. I found that they did a GREAT job at removing my make-up, especially my black eyeliner and black mascara which is usually tough to remove. Love them!
Now for this next product, I gave it to my 27 year old daughter who wears a lot of heavy make-up and sometimes has minor issues with acne (mostly caused by her not getting all of her make-up off when she cleanses). The product is called Pond’s Luminous Clean Daily Exfoliating Cleanser which is a deep-cleaning cleanser that you can use every day and it contains microbeads that help to remove impurities and dull dead skin cells. She has been faithfully using this product every day for the past 8 or 9 days now and LOVES IT! Matter of fact, she asked me to pick up more for her when I go to the store. She said it does a great job at removing dead skin, removing her heavy make-up and her skin feels soft & smooth after using it. Yay!
Finally, the Pond’s Luminous Moisture Day Lotion with SPF 15. I always wear a lotion on my face with SPF protection as I like being outside. Furthermore, skin cancer runs high in my family, so I need all of the skin protection that I can get. This lotion is non-greasy and quickly absorbs into your skin. It has a light ‘rose’ scent to it which speaks SPRING to me! Since using this day lotion, my skin’s texture has felt smoother and definitely more moisturized!
POND’S® Luminous Line keeps skin looking bright and luminous all day. The line includes a Wet Cleansing Towelette, moisturizer and collection of cleansers that brighten dull skin. The Towelettes are enriched with moisturizing ingredients and soft white Kaolin clay known to act like a magnet, to gently draw out dirt, makeup and deep-dwelling impurities leaving skin bright and luminous.

When I was younger I used to use Pond’s and I didn’t realize how much they have expanded their line of products. I shall have to try the Wet Cleansing Towelettes and the Day Lotion with SPF15
Wow, I haven’t used Pond’s for many years but I do have fond memories of using its lotion. As for this new product line, I would love to try the moisturizing lotion with the SPF 15 and the exfoliating cleanser. The lotion seems like a good fit because it not only moisturizes, but also highlights the skin so that dark patches look lighter. The exfoliating cleanser I’m a bit more wary of as there are many exfoliating cleansers in the market and I’m always looking for one that has a strong exfoliating ability. Hopefully Pond’s exfoliating cleanser does a really good job and removes almost all impurities. I think I am very willing to try out this new line as I think Pond’s is a good company and these products will genuinely help my skin if they work as they are supposed to work.
Wow! I know the next beauty line I’m trying. I haven’t used Pond’s before, but I will now. I am constantly trying to keep my skin feeling silky and fresh. As I age, I feel like it is even harder. The cold and sun both zap your skin especially your face and hands. I like moisturizers with SPF, too. I get tired of scrubbing my face and having it feel really dry afterwards. I like that this is a creamy cleanser that rinses off easily. Some seem to stay on your skin, leaving a hard masklike feel behind. I will be checking them out. Thanks. I hope they have a night cream.
