Disposable Lighters are made out of plastic and are a pollutant to our environment. People need to quit using them and use refillable lighters! You can go to any landfill and find thousands, if not millions of them in there! This problem is totally avoidable if people would switch to a more eco-friendly alternative. Refillable lighters are the way to go.
Why am I complaining about this? Every year we volunteer our time in our community on various “clean up” projects. That can be cleaning up a local park, a neighborhood, back road, alongside a highway or whatever. I can personally tell you that we pick up HUNDREDS of disposable lighters during these clean-up projects! When they run out of fuel people just toss them and a lot of the time it’s not into a trash can.
As human beings we can do better than this! If you need a disposable lighter for whatever reason it’s time to switch over to a refillable!!! Quit hurting our environment by purchasing this disposable junk! This is something that we all need to avoid buying….PERIOD!
