NEXXUS Hydra-Light Shampoo, Conditioner and Root Lift Mist
Today I would like to introduce you to a new line of professional salon-quality hair care products by NEXXUS called Hydra-Light. This specific line of shampoos, conditioners and root lift mists were specially formulated for those with dry hair.
The Hydra-Light line will help to increase moisture in your hair by up to 80%, without weighing it down. In addition, it can give you up to 85% more fullness and body, things that I think most ladies my age need with our hair!
These products are silicone-free formulas and are infused with an advanced blend of deep sea minerals, antioxidants and nutrients…all things that are great for our hair! The line of products includes a: shampoo, conditioner, root lift mist and a leave-in conditioning foam.
For my review, NEXXUS sent me a full-size bottle of the Hydra-Light Shampoo, the Hydra-Light Conditioner, the Hydra-Light Leave-In Conditioning Foam and a bottle of the Hydra-Light Root Lift Mist.
First things first…I have aging hair…I admit it! My hair is thick, short, brittle and very dry. Usually my hair is not like this at all, but with the new medications I am on, I have noticed some hair changes that I am not happy about.
All 4 of the products have a fresh, clean scent with just a hint of sweetness. This is exactly how I like my hair care products to smell. I started with the shampoo first and let me tell you, it lathers up really nicely and rinses away clean. Since I don’t use leave-in conditioners, I opted to use the regular conditioner after washing my hair. With this conditioner, you don’t need a whole lot…a little bit goes a long way. I leave the conditioner in for 2 minutes and then rinse it out, which only takes a few seconds. It doesn’t leave your hair sticky or greasy at all.
Once I was done towel drying my hair, I used the root lift mist on my damp hair. You want to spray your roots first and then comb it out so that the mist gets to the ends of your hair. Then you style your hair as normal. I found the root lift mist to be really easy-to-use and it smells great. It didn’t weigh my hair down at all and gave my hair a terrific shine. I also noticed that I had a little bit more volume to my hair, especially at the back of my head which I really appreciated.
I gave the leave-in conditioner to my daughter along with a little bit of the shampoo. I wanted her to try the leave-in conditioner since she has thick and spiral curly hair that gets frizzy. She used the products for 3 days and told me that she loves how that leave-in conditioner left her hair silky smooth and helped to tame the frizzies! Yeah!
Overall, I am super impressed with all of the NEXXUS Hydra-Light hair care products that I got to try out for all of you. I really love how my hair is no longer extremely dry and it is feeling touchably smooth again! Thanks NEXXUS!
