My Mom is Moving to Boca Raton

Last month I told you all about my mother who is currently in the process of selling her house and moving to Florida. We are really excited about her upcoming move and I know my brother is going to enjoy having her living closer to him and his kids.

Last week my mother flew down to Florida so that she could visit a Boca Raton Sothebys Realtor and she just got back to Pennsylvania last night. This morning my mom came over for brunch, so that she could update us on her house hunting trip.

My mom looked at five luxurious waterfront properties and after looking at all five, she thinks she has made her decision. She found a lovely 3 bedroom condo right on the waterfront that has beautifully landscaped grounds.

The condo has a roomy kitchen with modern appliances, a nice sized living room with gas fireplace, small dining room, a den, three bedrooms and two full baths. There is no basement, but the condo has a loft-style attic which is divided into two separate storage areas.

Within walking distance is a grocery store, drug store, hair salon, gas station, convenience store and two coffee shops. She seems to be pleased with it’s location which is a good thing, since she likes to walk from point A to point B.

Mom put a holding payment on the condo and is flying down there again next week to finalize all of the paperwork and other things that she needs to tend to. While she is there, she is going to spend a week with my brother and his family.

While I am going to miss having my mother around, I know she is going to love living in Florida and being near my brother and his two kids. The good thing about all of this is…hubby and I can travel down whenever we want and stay for free at her house! Yeah!!!
