Our Thoughts: Wow…where do I start with this one! I will admit, I usually don’t get into any stories or films in regards to biblical characters, but I was immediately drawn to this story line. From start to finish, this story line is exciting and has many twists and turns. The main character is Hadassah, a Jewish Queen (although those around her don’t know about her Jewish heritage). She is married to King Xerxes who is a very powerful king and even though he is powerful, there are some things that his power won’t help. Hadassah loves her people and does everything that she can to help save them…but while trying to help them, does her heritage come out? Does it become known? (Well, I am not going to tell you, watch the movie!) LOL
This movie is dramatic, exciting, adventurous, entertaining and well…just a fabulous movie! It is such a great movie, that I even paused it while I ran for a drink! (usually I don’t do that during a movie and just miss a few minutes…however, I didn’t want to miss a single second of this one!). As someone who loves fashion, I was also really impressed with the costuming worn by all of the characters in this movie…right on track for the period of time it was representing.
I am not going to tell you how this one ends as I really thing you all need to go out and get the movie and watch it. Since receiving it, we have watched it twice and will be watching it a third time in a few days when my BFF comes over for a dinner/movie date with me. If you think this movie will be “boring” like most historical and biblical pieces…think again! It’s very dramatic and entertaining…definitely a video you need to pick up and add to your movie collection!
