Island Time Cocktail Recipe by Voga Italia

March 30, 2013 by Shelly

Summertime means warm weather, pool side parties, cookouts and an array of delicious beverages. Beat the heat and dazzle your guests with your chic bartending skills by serving a refreshing wine infused cocktail instead of the expected liquor versions and filling beer. VOGA Italia Wine can be used to make quick and easy cocktails for any occasion this summer.

The wine retails anywhere from $5.99-$15.99/bottle which makes entertaining a large crowd extremely affordable. VOGA’s collection ranges from Italian made Pinot Grigio, Premium Sparkling, Moscato, Merlot, and Dolce Rosso.

Island Time Cocktail Recipe

2 oz coconut flavored rum
3 lime squeezes (then discard)
1 oz simple syrup
5 oz VOGA Sparkling
5-6 mint leaves

In a shaker, combine ice, rum, simple syrup, and lime juice.  Shake and pour into a chilled Collins glass.  Add VOGA and mint leaves and gently stir to combine.

I enjoy all your alcoholic recipes. This one with the sparkling wine, rum, lime and mint sounds very refreshing. I have never tried coconut flavored rum.

I like it when you find a good, useful bottle of wine for under $20. I always enjoy your drink recipes, and this sounds refreshing. I wonder how it would be if you added 7-up to make it more crisp and bubbly.
