I think most women love bigger purses. I know I do because I love to be able to carry the things I need plus have room to tuck away a book, a notebook and my crocheting for times when I need something to do. Waiting in the doctors office or driving in the car, as the passenger lol, I can reach in my bag and find something. But there are plenty of times that I do not wait to carry a purse and I am perfectly fine with just a small wallet in my jeans pocket. With that in mind, I have a really interesting concept to share with you today that I think you will enjoy.
Made by a company called HuMn, the HuMn Wallet is made from aircraft grade aluminum that they powder-coat to a smooth finish. Then they add a durable shock cord strap and microfiber bag to keep it all together. I got the Mini Wallet size. This cool wallet, if you want to call it that, is slightly bigger than the size of a credit card. It is perfect for those that love the minimal look.
So when I got mine, I was wondering, why Aluminum? Well, here is why, The aluminum plates actually shield your credit and debit cards from the RFID skimming rays. That is where a scanner will scan your barcode or the back of the card and can read the information on it.. They don’t necessarily have to have your cards to do this and someone can easily buy one, if they choose to. Using a wallet like this will protect your cards from unwanted or unknown skimming of your data. That is neat.
The wallet is very different from what I expected. I actually thought it was like a small snap case, but this is 2 plates of the metal that is held together by the cord. There are cutouts for the strap to keep it securely on the plates. You simply place your cards and money inside the plates and secure them with the strap. That is it. What is cool is that on their larger wallets, you can also get extra plates to create a separation between cards.
I took mine out this weekend when we went to the casino for my Hubby’s birthday. With so many people there, the last thing I want is be be dealing with a purse. So all I needed was my ID, debit card and my cash. It worked like a dream. It fits into any pocket and it is flat and easy to use. It does take a little bit to get used to it, but I kept thinking of it like a deck of cards. I can unstrap it and fan out the plates and the cards to find the card I need. Easy.
HuMn Wallet has several different styles and great fashionable colors. I love the color choices actually. Very hip and you can actually find it when you need it! That is great for those times it ended up in my purse. Plus this is great for guys to use too. I love that this is so totally unique! Perfect for those that hate to carry traditional wallets or for those on the go.
**UPDATE** I guess it is a good idea to watch the How To video.. This is easier to use than what I was doing with it. Simply pull apart with your fingers while it is still strapped together and it opens up so you can sort through your cards. Slick! Thanks Ken!
