My Thoughts: This is a soft-cover 384 page book that was a fairly easy read. There are a total of 8 chapters in this book with chapter 1 being on Creating Your Wedding, Your Way and finishing up with chapter 8 on Checklists & Worksheets.  One of the things I found interesting about this book is in chapter 2 where the author talks about Setting the Tone for Your Wedding by considering the couple’s wishes, the guest list, the wedding party, family traditions and how to incorporate all of that into your wedding ceremony. It was very insightful to me since the Big E and I come from entirely 2 diffent types of families.

My favorite chapter in the book was chapter 7 which gives you 10 sample ceremonies and there were a few samples that the Big E and I really liked. Perhaps we will combine a few things together to come up with our own unique ceremony! I want to show my mother the “Renewal of Marriage Vows” section as her and my dad plan on renewing their vows next year.

Overall, the book is a good read for any first-time bride-to-be like myself. I read through the book pretty quickly for the purpose of this review and I am going to re-read it again and this time around…take my time through it. If you are going to be getting married, I recommend this book to you!
