I have a really great wood dining table with ladder back chairs that are sturdy and comfortable. One thing that I don’t get is why chair manufacturers love to use light color fabrics on chair seats… well I always seem to end up with them anyway. With kids and animals, light fabrics are a nightmare so I was excited to be able to review a beautiful set of kid friendly dining chair seat covers to revitalize and transform my ugly chairs.
ViveVita is a company that looks to create products that help solve issues that parents run into all the time. Kids and nice furniture is an issue, so one of their products is their Everyday Elegance Chair Covers. I was sent 4 covers to checkout; 2 per package. I have seen normal chair covers and I never use them because I did not care for the look of them. Normal ones that I see are full chair covers. I like my chairs themselves so why would I want to cover the wood part? They are not the problem. The ugly seats are the problem, so I couldn’t wait to check these out.
The first thing I saw was that these covers are easy to use and care for. That is a plus. The cover is lightweight and comes with velcro strips that attach to keep the cover on and they are washable and waterproof. That is a huge plus as these are not plastic! My chair seats are not perfectly square; they actually flare out at the fronts slightly to give a wider seat so I was a bit concerned when I was putting the cover on that they would not fit right. While it is not the “perfect” fit, the cover did stretch slightly and conformed pretty well to my chair. They did leave a small gap, but it doesn’t bother me at all.
These covers are super easy to install. You simply place the cover on from the front of the seat and pull it to the back. There are 2 pieces that go around the chair and velcros on and then a flap of material covers where they meet. The chair cover also has a small drop of material that comes down about a inch or so all around the cover.
I really love the way they came out on my chairs! Such a refreshing change from the ugly cream and dirt covers I have on there. Even though they do not fit exactly perfect, I love them! Plus these clean up very easily. You simply remove and hand wash plus hang them to dry. You can machine wash these every so often, but if you want to keep them waterproof, hand washing and drying is best. They are beautiful, elegant and affordable!
These covers sure solved my chair issues. I am so thrilled that these covers work for my chairs and look great too. Such a refreshing change! I am going to grab one more set for my last 2 chairs so they are all covered. Thank goodness! You can purchase these covers too through Amazon in 5 different colors.
