The Carquinez Strait

March 19, 2013 by Classystaff

A few weekends ago, I was excited to be able to spend some time with one of my best friends and his mom. She has a fabulous house in the Bay Area of San Francisco overlooking the Carquinez Strait. This is a northern section of the San Francisco Bay and it is gorgeous. Her house sits up on a hill overlooking the straight and you can watch big ocean liners carrying cargo go through. They are huge in comparison to this tiny area of land surrounding it. Unfortunately there were none the day I was there.

It was a bit overcast that day, but it is a stunning area and I miss living there so much! Every time I go there, I don’t want to go home! LOL This photo is taken at the top of her street next to her house.

I am glad you were able to visit your friend and enjoy the San Francisco Bay area. I can see that the view is stunning and would become more beautiful when everything is greener.

Great view out there, but, when I think of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz always comes to mind.

It strikes me how green it is there. Colorado is basically in a desert area and tends to browns, not green.
