Like most Americans, my hubby and I participated this year in making New Year’s Resolutions and one of our resolutions was to eat healthier and lose some weight. We have been replacing the potato chips, pretzels, popcorn, chocolate candy and other “less” healthy snacks with ones that are “more” healthy like fresh fruits, fresh veggie sticks, applesauce and gelatin.
The great folks over at Musselman’s sent us three 6-packs of applesauce to help us with our transition to more “healthier” snacks and they sent us a Musselman’s inflatable Yoga ball. (Applesauce Flavors: Original, Cinnamon and Natural).
For myself, I have made the “Replacement Resolution” to replace my addiction to chocolate chip cookies with Musselman’s Applesauce and my husband has replaced his buttery popcorn with Musselman’s Cinnamon Applesauce. In addition to these replacements, I am getting outside and walking 3 times a week and hubby is hitting the gym 2 evenings a week! We are super proud of ourselves for successfully making the change!
One of the things we love about Musselman’s applesauce’s are that they taste fresh and just like homemade. (trust me, I used to slave away in the kitchen every Fall, making and canning homemade applesauce for my family…not anymore!). We love that we can get the applesauce in single-serving “to-go” packs and take them with us to work or just use them for snacking on here at home.
Often times when I am baking a cake or whipping up some cupcakes, I add in the applesauce to reduce the fat and caloric count of my homemade baked goods. The addition of the applesauce, helps my cakes & cupcakes come out of the oven more moist, which is the way we prefer them.
If you are looking to lose some weight or just to snack on more “healthier” foods, Musselman’s applesauce is definitely the way to go! We are keeping our pantry stocked with the applesauce at all times, so we are never without! LOVE Musselman’s!!!
