A few days ago, I told you all about my mother’s decision to retire and to sell the family home. My mom is getting older now and the family home was just too much for her to handle.
Well, she was thinking about moving into a 2 bedroom apartment once the house sold, but now she is looking at luxury real estate in Vero Beach Florida. Why you might ask? Well, my brother Jeff lives down there in Vero Beach and she has decided to move close to him, since he has small children and needs some help taking care of them.
His wife recently left him and the two boys have been quite a handful for him. My mom has decided to not live with him, as she still wants her independence, so she wants to move close by.
We were looking at some properties online and found a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo that is only 5 miles away from my brother’s house. What is really cool about this condo is that all maintenance is included and all landscaping is included too!
Mom is going to fly down there next week and take a look at it. I am secretly hoping that she does get a 3 bedroom condo, that way hubby and I can take a few trips every year down to see her…and stay there for free! LOL

Sorry, I don’t live in Vero Beach, but I wanted to comment and say how nice it would be to live in such a warm place! The condo you’ve described sounds like a very good deal; hopefully it lives up to all the perks when your mother takes a look at it in real life.
