I’m the mother to an adult daughter who has two children of her own. As a parent and grandparent I don’t understand other parents who let their kids on a tablet or ipad for 18 hours a day! Tablets, TVs and electronic devices are NOT babysitters and they’re not a susbstitute for parenting. Geesh, this is getting so out of hand that I see all kinds of addictions and mental problems coming in the near future.
Kids should have access to different electronic devices but not for hours every day. I don’t care if it’s justing talking to their friends, surfing the web, playing games or watching videos. Just like everything else…it should be closely monitored and in moderation. These days I see it being excessive and abused. While I complaining about that…adults need to be limited their access too!
While technology is great is so many different ways…it’s also being abused and mis-used. As a parent and grandparent I refuse to let my grandchildren on them for hours every day. When they’re here…they have to be engaged with the family and have their noses out of their devices. Enough Said!
