Find the Perfect Apartment on ApartmentsMy mother is getting older now and has finally decided to sell the family home. Now that she is in her late 60’s, it just way “too” much of a house for her to maintain. We are pretty happy that she has made the decision to move into an apartment, because it was getting really hard on my husband to take care of two places, ours and hers!

Now that the decision has been made, we have been looking around on apartments for the perfect apartment for her. The site is really easy to use…you can search for apartments directly on their website or use your iPhone, iPad or Android smartphone to find the perfect new home for yourself, or a loved one.

When you use this site, you can search for apartments by location, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms and/or search by rent price. I think that is pretty cool and it saves you a lot of time! All you do is type in your search parameters and up comes everything that is currently available. We love how easy this site is to use and navigate.

We did some searches and found 3 possible apartments that would work for my mom. All 3 are ground floor apartments which are a must for her age (she is 67 years old). All 3 of them look pretty nice and are well within her price range (the amount of rent she is willing to pay).

So far, mom is leaning towards a lovely 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment that she found at “The Brook in Colonial Park” and the apartment complex also offers free 24 hour maintence, pets are allowed, an on-site gym, walking paths and a dog run for walking the dog. How cool is that? Totally cool!

Now we are working on selling the house and then we will work on securing a small apartment for her and getting her moved.

If you are looking for a new apartment to rent, we highly recommend that you check out apartments.com because the site is very easy to use and you can see photos of the apartments too! What a huge time saver! You can follow Apartments.com over on Twitter @aptscom if you are a Twitter user.

Are any of you looking for a new apartment? Have you ever used the site? If so, we would love to hear about it! Please feel free to leave your thoughts and comments below. Thanks.
