Feed Your Magazine Subscription Addiction at a Discount

I think every one is on a budget these days and rightly so. It is a tough economy and we all have dreams and desires that we want to reach in our lifetime. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t get to spoil ourselves once in a while. As women, we all know we work hard and deserve some of the things we love here and there. Since I am a big reader, one of the things I love is books and magazines and I find it really hard to go without having something to read at all times. Even though I have an e-reader, I still love holding the book or magazine in my hands and turning the pages. It is much more satisfying for me somehow.

Feeling the need to get a few new magazine subscriptions, I was hunting around looking for a a site that offers discounts on popular titles and my favorite magazines. I found Subscription Addiction. It is a big site offering all of the magazines that I love to read and they are at great prices.

I used to get probably 5 magazines a month for many years but when we tightened our belts, I had to discontinue them. Sometimes when I am at the grocery store or discount store, I see a magazine with a recipe I love or some articles I want to read, I will pick one up. I know that this is the most expensive method of reading a magazine, and I miss reading my favorites. So I thought if I could find them at a discount, I could grab several and still be better off then I was prior paying the full rates.

At Subscription Addiction, I found all of my favorites and then some! Wow, I guess I never realized how many different magazines there were. I am partial to things related to the Home and Cooking so in their Home and Garden category, they have listed several on my list like Better Homes and Gardens, Good Housekeeping, and my wish list magazine, Country Sampler. No, I don’t decorate my house that way, but I would love to someday! It is so totally not me right now, but I would love to live in the country and have my home be French Country style with a touch of prim. So I look at magazines like this one and dream about it! LOL That is why I love to look and read magazines.

Plus since I am secretly a Nerd, I love business magazines! I know… but I am a business owner of several businesses, so I like to stay on top of the happenings in small and large business. Plus Subscription Addiction has some magazines I never saw before. So I am getting Entrepreneur and Forbes plus I spied a Home Business magazine that might make the cut too!

There are so many different categories of magazines at this site. As an avid reader yet someone on a budget too, I wanted to share this with our readers since we are all looking for a way to cut expenses and still have the things we love. This is one way that I am doing just that. Take this as my frugal living tip for the day!
