Crystal Light Liquid Drink Mix

Crystal Light Liquid Drink MixCrystal Light Liquid Drink Mix is the newest member of the Crystal Light family.  Released in January, this fab mix gives water an extra kick of flavor.  Six available flavors offer something for just about every taste.

I loved Crystal Light back in the day.  Zero calories, zero Weight Watcher points, and zero carb drinks?  Count me in!  I’d buy it in bulk at Sam’s Club and would fill my cart when it was a Bogo special at the local grocery.  In those times, I was the only one in the house skipping sugar on a daily basis, but soon hubby and the kids fell in love with it as well.  The kids’ flavors of choice were peach tea and pink lemonade, while hubs and I went for traditional lemonade more than anything else.

Fast forward a few years and Stevia replaced Sucralose and other artificial sweeteners.   Other than the occasional purchase of Crystal Light Pure, we skipped it for the most part.  When Crystal Light offered a sample of its new liquid mix, I jumped at the chance to try it.

Crystal Light Liquid Drink Mix is available in six flavors – Peach Bellini, Mango Passionfruit, Blueberry Raspberry, Iced Tea, and Strawberry Lemonade.  Each 1.62 fl. oz. bottle contains up to 24 servings of gluten-free, calorie-free goodness.  The low carbohydrate count makes it a good choice for Diabetics or anyone watching carbs and calories.  Just flip the top and squeeze the bottle to give water a boost.

Crystal Light Liquid Drink MixI received bottles of the Peach Bellini and Mango Passionfruit flavors and got to sampling.  First let me say I really like that I can customize the level of flavor I add to my drinks.  This made it easier to get past the Sucralose aftertaste I’m no longer used to.  The addition of fresh lime added welcome freshness and cut the artificial sweetener flavor.  Back in the day I wouldn’t have noticed it at all.  I sat the family down to get their takes on it as well.  The husband liked the drinks with lime like I did, teen boy inhaled his glass and fixed a second, and teen girl smiled and called it a success.

I also tested the flavors with a shot of vodka because Crystal Light was my secret ingredient in low calorie cocktail recipes.   But only after 5 pm because, well, that’s just how it’s done.   It also worked quite well when added to unsweetened herbal tea.  Ever had peach or mango passionfruit orange spice iced tea?  Give them a try sometime.

Crystal Light Liquid Drink Mix is just like I remember, but better.  Of the two we tried, the adults preferred Peach Bellini and the teens went for Mango Passionfruit with quickness.  It seems Crystal Light will make it back onto the grocery list more regularly.  I’m keeping my eyes open for the Strawberry Lemonade.  A tall glass of that after a few hours in the garden will be lovely.

I used to use Crystal Loght too, so now I have to try these new flavors. I drinka lot of tea and iced tea especially. These mixes would go well with the tea.

My daughter has gotten us into crystal light lemonade mix for our margaritas. We use the powder mixes but haven’t tried the liquid yet. Both of us were excited to see strawberry lemonade. I see strawberry margaritas in our future!

I really like Crystal Light me and my mom have been drinking it for a few years now!

  4. I won’t buy the liquid drink mix because I know that I would use more liquid than needed and it won’t be worth the money. I have purchased Crystal Light individual packets, but, only if it happens to be on sale.

  5. I used to drink Crystal Light all of the time.
    Thanks for review!

  6. I have used Crystal Light powder in the past. I think I will like this product better as it mixes better in the water. I will be on the hunt for it in my local stores. Thank you for the introduction and review.

  7. I can’t wait to see this in the grocery store!

  8. I like Stevia best for sweetening. Don’t like the chemicals or aftertaste of other sweeteners.
