Building a Snowman on a Cold Winter’s Day
When it comes to winter…there’s not much that I enjoy doing outside in the snow. When I was younger I enjoyed snowmobiling, skiing, ice skating and building snow forts. As I’ve gotten older…the cold bothers me, so I don’t enjoy playing in the snow. Sorry…I know others love the winter weather.

Every year when we do get a decent snowfall our grandchildren will go outside and play in it for hours. The cold doesn’t bother them. They like to go sledding, have snowball fights, build snow forts and of course…building their Grandmother an adorable snowman! Yup, I do enjoy seeing a snowman out in my front yard.
One thing that I started doing is keeping a box in our basement stocked with snowman building supplies. I have a few old flannel shirts, hats, scarves, gloves, rocks that were painted black and other items in the box. When the kids come over they get the box and use the supplies inside to build their snowman or snow woman! Don’t have supplies? Don’t worry! Sticks, branches, pine cones, stones, carrots, etc. all work just as well.
If you really want to get fancy with building your snowman you can actually purchase snowman building kits from Amazon which is pretty cool too. Happy snowman building!
