We have been getting teased by spring like weather here in California, so instead of waste it, we took on a huge product a few weekends ago. I rounded up a few able bodied teens, luckily I can find a bunch if them, and we took on the task of re-rocking the flower beds in both the front yard and the back. It was a huge product that took the whole weekend but I am pleased with the results. This should keep the weeds at bay and it is so much easier to water and care for the plants too. I still have 1 more load to do in the front and 2 more for the back as it is a bit thin in spots, but that is just filling in so it should go much faster. You like?

I think it looks beautiful with the contrast of the reddish rocks to the different greens of the plants and you were right to take advantage of the weather. Here in the northeast the weather has been crummy!
So serene and slightly oriental! I LOVE it! Even better that you didn’t use grass – so much more “green” (ha! ha!) because you don’t have to water the grass all the time…
*sigh* more snow on the way here! Your little flower garden is lovely! Cant wait for spring 🙂
Ah, a bit of Spring. Snow here tomorrow. Sigh.
Your yard looks very good with the red rocks.
We have wood chips in our front year and I have to agree, filler items like rocks and wood can block those pesky weeds. California weather sounds wonderful! It’s not that warm quite yet where I live, but hopefully soon. I like the color of the rocks you chose; they look nice along the green of the plants!
Ding, I like! I got some spring flowers starting to pop up out of the ground. I can’t wait to get back outside & do some yard work and gardening. I got big grand plans in store for the new yard!
