Planning a Dream Vacation for Two

January 8, 2013 by Sam H.

Planning a Dream Vacation for Two

For the past 4 1/2 weeks I have spent a miserable time in the hospital and finally got home about 6 days ago. This time spent in the hospital was frustrating, painful and at the very least…very lonely! I was very fortunate that I was home with my family for Thanksgiving, but sadly, I was in the hospital for Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

I missed out on all of the fun family holiday get-togethers, holiday parties and well, just spending time with my family during the holiday season. My family did their very best to cheer me up and even had a little Christmas party for me on Christmas Day in the hospital lounge.

Now that I am home and hopefully recovering from my long ordeal, hubby has been discussing a romantic dream vacation for two. If you ask me, that is just what the two of us need! Our 28th Wedding Anniversary is coming up the end of April so we plan on taking our vacation in early May of this year.

We have been browsing some travel and tourism web sites online and found a fabulous one that really caught our interest. On this particular site you fill out a form listing your destination, requirements, etc. and they pair you up with up to 3 qualified travel agents who will help to plan your trip. How cool is that? Totally cool!

They have Galapagos tours, European tours, tours to Africa, tours to China and everything in between! Right now we are leaning towards a 10 day South African Tour or a 7 day trip to Argentina. Really though, I will be happy with whatever destination that my hubby finally picks! Just getting away together for a few tours of a lifetime are just perfect with me!

For now…I need to concentrate on my physical therapy and getting better so I will be leaving all of the trip planning and tour destination decisions to my husband. In the meantime, I am going to dream of faraway places and just try to be patient until vacation time arrives.

If you could pick any where in the world to visit and take a dream vacation to…where would it be? What would you do? I would love to hear all about it!

I am glad you are home and doing better. I was sick and hospitalized with pneumonia once for Christmas and it was very depressing. I am sure that wherever your husband decides to go you will enjoy it. One place to which I’d like to travel is Hawaii.

I would love to take a vacation to Tahiti with my daughter! The water there looks beautiful and the place looks serene! I would love to lay out on the beach, swim, and snorkle!

I’m glad you are back home. It’s so hard. My daughter spent six weeks in the hospital this last spring. She is still trying to recover and the process is long. I’m glad you are finding things to look forward to. This sounds like just what you need! Your husband too! Enjoy each moment of the planning and prep and look forward to whatever the destination has for you. Rock each moment and Smile!

For me, I would love to go to Australia. I love the water and beaches and think spending a couple day laying on a beautiful sandy beach sounds like paradise.

Thanks Sherry! It is indeed hard! Once I get through this recovery, I need to plan for my total hip replacement surgery and get that over with…next. I think that will happen once we return from our trip though.

Australia would be a great choice too! I would love to experience the Outback!
