Investing in a Biometrics Safe for our New Home

Biometrics Safe

Back on January 5th, we finally moved into our new home! It had been a long and tedious process since we started gutting the home back in May of 2012. We were hoping to get moved in late in November or early December, but my 4 week hospital stay threw a wrench into that!

Well, we are finally moved into our new home but still, we have hundreds of boxes to unpack, lots of organizing to do and hundreds, if not thousands of things to put away.

One of the things we are looking into getting for our new home is two biometric safes. Why two you might ask? Well, we would like one safe to hold our important papers and valuables and the other one to hold our registered firearms.

We are choosing a biometric safe because they are fingerprint protected. That means that once the door closes on the safe, no one can get into it unless it would be myself or the hubby. We simply swipe our fingerprint into it…then the door to the safe opens up quickly.

There are no locks and keys, no combinations to fumble with or forget…nothing, just a swipe of one of our fingerprints! I totally love that idea…especially in an emergency when we would need to get into the safe quickly and quietly.

These types of safe are really affordable and well within our price range. We figured that we would need a medium sized safe for our important paper work and valuables, and then a larger safe to hold the firearms.

My question to all of you today is this…do any of you have a biometric safe? If so, how do you like it? I would love to hear your feedback!
