Grilled Spicy Apple Chicken Recipe

We love to use our grill and even though we are in the middle of winter, we will still go outside and use our grill! One of the recipes that we like to use for when we are grilling chicken is this apple cider spicy chicken recipe.

This is a really easy-to-prepare recipe and everyone in our family loves when we make it.

Grilled Apple Cider Spicy Chicken Recipe

2 1/2 lbs. chicken thighs or wings
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp. liquid hot pepper sauce
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. onion powder
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

Preheat Grill. Combine vinegar, sugar, pepper sauce, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder and pepper to make a hot sauce. Set aside 3/4 c. of the mixture to use as a dipping sauce. Use the remaining sauce to marinate the chicken. Place chicken on hot grill. Brush with the basting sauce. Grill for 13-15 minutes, basting often. Turn chicken over and baste the other side and grill for another 13-15 minutes. Cook until the chicken is done which is when the juices run clear.

This recipe sounds perfect for a Super Bowl party as well as a different way to prepare chicken.

This sounds delicious! I found out how wonderful apple cider can be for recipes when I boiled some down and then started adding it to things. I never thought of chicken – a must try!!!

I’m always searching for new ways to prepare chicken and this recipe sounds yummy! I may leave out the cayenne pepper, as hubby does not care for that. Thank you for sharing 🙂
