Endangered Species Chocolates and Chocolate Bars
Just like most people in the world, I love me some great tasting chocolate on a regular basis. Matter of fact, I eat chocolate almost daily since I am on a high-carbohydrate diet. With that said, I am pretty picky on the chocolates that I enjoy eating.
When it comes to chocolate, I like my chocolate smooth in texture and not bitter tasting. I love to put a piece into my mouth and just let it slowly melt away. If it has any bitterness or funky after-taste, well…it’s not for me.
Now that you know what I like and dislike about chocolate, let me introduce you to Endangered Species Chocolates which are absolutely delicious. On top of being yummy good, these chocolates are for a good cause! That’s right, 10% of all net profits are donated to help preserve endangered animals and to help preserve their habitats. I am an animal lover and that is very important to me!
The company sells all kinds of delicious chocolate bars in flavors that will make your mouth water. On top of that, you will find chocolate covered fruits, chocolate covered nuts and various chocolate gift sets that are perfect for gift-giving. With Valentine’s Day and Easter just around the corner, Endangered Species chocolates are just perfect!
For the review I was sent 3 full-size chocolate bars to try out for all of you. Once they arrived, my hubby and I immediately dug-in for our taste test!
First up, the delicious Natural Milk Chocolate Bar which is made with 48% smooth cocoa. Each bar is 3 oz. in size and is 2-servings (one for me and one for the hubby LOL). After a few bites we really loved the rich…but smooth taste of this milk chocolate…nothing bitter at all.
The following day we broke open the Natural Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt & Almonds Bar and let me tell you…this one was a real treat! I wasn’t sure if I would like a dark chocolate bar with sea salt but was pleasantly surprised with this one. Dark Chocolate is often bitter tasting to me but not this one! We loved the combination of the sweet 72% cocoa, the sea salt and the crunchy almonds and everything was perfect….PERFECT!
Two days later we gave the Natural Dark Chocolate with Cherries Bar a try and although this one was not my favorite, it was still yummy. My hubby claimed this particular bar to be his favorite since he loves chocolate and cherries together…so most of the bar went to him. This bar contains 72% natural dark chocolate and hubby said that it had just enough cherry flavoring to make it yummy but not over-powering. Like I said, this one was his favorite!
Overall, we are super pleased with the Endangered Species Chocolates and would not hesitate in purchasing them for ourselves or to give as a gift. They are delicious, priced just right and you are helping to save endangered animals in the process! A beautiful win-win!
