I have lived in my house for 16 years now and we have done some updating over the years. One year we replaced the floor in the kitchen and hall way. The next one was new carpets in the bedrooms and living area. We also tiled the bathroom and laundry room floors and replaced appliances along the way. One area that is next on my list is the Kitchen counters and back splash.
In order to save some money, my hubby and I have been looking at doing some DIY projects and one easy project I know we can do is the back splash. I have been looking at so many different patterns in the Kitchen Tile area of the home improvement stores, I think I am going to go crazy. I am really in love with the gorgeous glass tiles that come in squares already. The color range is awesome!
I have been gravitating to the black and silvers to coordinate with my stainless steel appliances and this one keeps catching my eye. What do you think? It is pretty easy to apply and since we have a back splash that wraps around half of the kitchen, I think it will come out looking fabulous!
Now I need to pick some coordinating counter tops and see how well this will blend in. My second option is going to be Subway Tiles, which again is something really easy that we can do ourselves. Plus the counters can be done in those too. That would be pretty with some mixing and matching of colors and textures.
So, it is coming down to decision time because I want to get this project done this month! I want my Kitchen clean, fresh and re-organized for the New Year!

I had been in real estate for many years and there was a builder who did gorgeous homes. He did one kitchen with blacks & grays, and it was FABULOUS! I like this and it can come out great! It will be like a neutral, that you can add a little spark of color and keep changing that color every now and then with accessories, etc. Normally, black & gray are not my fav, but this builder has educated me with his colors. Not only me, but others thought it was terrific, too.
The back slash you show here is very attractive and I am sure it willlook great in your kitchen. Good Luck.
Concrete counter tops look great with a glass tile back splash. : )
Looks great! My husband recently redid our kitchen tile backsplash. He is very handy and creative. The design looks wonderful and we love it. The hardest thing was trying to live in the kitchen while redoing. Hopefully, you can eat out some. 🙂
