It’s that time again…for another Wordless or Almost Wordless Wednesday post! Gosh, it seems like I just made a WW post yesterday! Time flies!
This past weekend our little 3 1/2 year old Princess Gia (grand daughter) came over for a play date. I gave Princess Gia several of her Christmas presents (late since I was in the hospital for Christmas) and she loved them!
One of the presents was a “Who Shook Hook” board game. The game is for kids ages 4 & up but at age 3 1/2…she did just fine with it.
For 1 1/2 hours…she played the game with me and/or her pappy and yes…we did let her win every time! It was fun seeing her play the game with us and hearing her laugh! It was also a reminder at how quickly she is growing up and is NOT our little baby anymore! Nope, she is definitely a “little girl”. We enjoy spending as much time with her that we can.
We are going to do bi-weekly family game nights with her now that she is getting older, just like the game nights we used to do with our own daughter when she was a little girl. I am looking forward to having game nights back into our lives on a regular basis again. Yeah!
Hope you all are having a great week!
My granddaughter is two and we have the Sesame Street edition of Chutes and Ladders that we play every weekend. Lots of fun!!
I love family game nights. They bring the whole family together and make good memories. Gia probably appreciated her gifts even more because they made more of an impression when she received them separate from all her other Christmas gifts.
i love family game nights. theres nothing better than spending quality time with your family having fun.
Aww! How adorable! Family game nights are wonderful. You really get to spend some creative and funny time together. Good memories to look back on and smile. I wish you many more family times like this.
That was so sweet of you two to let her win every time. Small children do love to think they have been better than a grown up when playing games. 🙂
She will be loving to visit. My grandson is 5 and has to play his board games every night and loves them.
As an adult, you don’t notice the passing years. Until you have a grandbaby who changes before your eyes.
