We are Getting Ready for Cold Weather

December 4, 2012 by Classystaff

We are Getting Ready for Cold WeatherWe get a little spoiled here in the west when it comes to cold weather. That is not to say it doesn’t get cold; we just don’t get temps below the 20’s normally. The cold here is very wet and it certainly goes right through you. One of the things that does hamper us a bit is the garage. Obviously there is no heat in out there when it cold weather rolls in and there are items that are stored out there that I would like to protect, temperature wise, that came from my mom’s house. We also have a full gym out there that gets a bit chilly to use in cold, wet and nasty days.

My hubby has been looking for electric heaters of some sort that we can use in the garage on a regular basis. He thinks a professional model would be the best because it is meant to take long term use and it would be less expensive overall than a small space heater you can buy at the local hardware store.

So he has been searching online and found a great professional grade 1500 Watt electric heater that would be just the right thing for our use. I like that it is powerful enough to use in that space and yet it is portable enough to take with us should we need to use it for any type of disaster or even camping. I can think of so many times I wish I had a heater when we were camping in Santa Cruz Dang, it gets cold over there.

With all of the weird weather that has been happening lately, I think that being safe and warm is a priority for everyone. Now that he has found this unit, we are looking at a generator so we can run it, should anything happen.
