Most of you all know our pet reviewer, Louie. Today he has a big job to do as he has been testing our a brand new collar from the Dog Bark Collar Store. As you know, Lou is a big part of our family and we wanted to make sure that he is safe at all time. Having the right collar is one thing that we can do to make sure that if ever anything happened, we can find Lou again.
The Dog Bark Collar Store has a brand new product they are testing and they asked Louie to participate. Their new items is called the ToughHound All Sports collar. This is a personalized collar that lets you display your dog’s name and address or any other info you want imprinted on it. The collar is made from highly-durable polycoated webbing which will allow Lou lots of rough and tumble play with out worries of it falling off or breaking easily. The ToughHound’s non-porous surface dries quickly, will never absorb offensive odors and makes mud and grime easily removable. The collar also features an integrated stainless steel laser-engraved nameplate which won’t jingle of fall from its ring. That is a huge plus for mom. I hate listening to rattling tags.
So I went over to the site and followed the direction on how to order the product. It is pretty straightforward. I like that there is a choice in collar widths. Lou has a thick neck so he needs a nice thick collar to enhance his manliness. LOL A nice plus is that you can have up to 4 lines engraved on the metal plate so you can add in anything you want to. Lou’s has his name – the words “Call My Parents” and 2 different phone numbers. I kinda regret not putting “Reward” on it instead on it instead of one of the numbers, but that’s okay. We can do that next time he needs a new one.
Another huge plus for me is that the metal tag is integrated into the collar itself. Like I said, I hate listening to jingling of tags when they scratch or walk. Since Louie is inside most of the time, listening to jingling would make me nuts. But he doesn’t wear his collar all day either so it is just right. Having the plate built into the collar like it is also means that it will not get scratched up and you should be able to read the name and info on the tag for more than a few weeks.
When we got the collar, Lou and I were really impressed with the look and feel of this baby. I love that they had a size big enough for his thick neck and Lou loved getting a new collar just for him, with is name on it! He was very excited and wanted to go for a walk immediately to test it out. It worked great!
Mom likes that the collar is held together with big metal rivets and it has a nice sturdy stainless steel buckle to keep it on nicely. The material feels and looks like leather. It is hard to tell that it is not and in the lovely Brown color that we go, it looks great on the Lou Dog.
I think that Lou is very pleased with is new collar. He feels very proud wearing it and Mom likes it too! She thinks he looks handsome. What do you think?

Lou looks proud wearing it. It looks so sturdy…or maybe that’s just him! We’ve actually been looking for a new collar for our doggie.

A strong collar is a worthy purchase! One dog I had got stronger than me, and had to give her away, but I know having a solid collar is important. I like the idea of adding “reward,” I never thought of that. If your pet goes missing, everything helps.
