Where I live in California, our water is really bad. It is scary to know how many chemicals and nasty things are in our water here. We live a mile or so from a closed air force base and the water table has been contaminated from years of airplane fuel run off and chemicals from clean up. Our area is like a little cancer pocket of the valley. So needless to say, we don’t drink tap water.
All of our water is filtered either by a filter on the faucet, purchased bottled water or the refrigerator. Since I drink water or tea all day long, it is critical for me and my family to make sure we have fresh water to drink that is filtered by a really good filter. I look for quality replacement filters from the manufacturer’s site so I know i am getting the right size and great quality. I get my Electrolux home products parts from the Electrolux Store.
The water filters I get are made for my unit. My husband and I have been talking about getting a whole house water filtration system that will make a huge difference on the ease of use and the safety of our health. It will even make sure we are showering in pure water too and it can work together with my filtered shower head. The Electrolux store carries the bypass filters for those type of systems too so when we do get one installed, I can grab the filter at the same time I get my refrigerator ones.
I don’t know what water issues you have but at our house, it is something I think about all the time. I am thankful for quality parts and filters so I know my family is being protected from chemicals and minerals that are not needed in our bodies.
