Isn’t it funny how we gravitate to the same type of products that we love even though we have many others that are similar. I am talking about things like purses – I have too many; makeup and skin care – love playing with these; shoes – no explanation needed; and my latest is shawls. Not only do I love shawls like a beautiful Pashmina but I love winter woolen shawls that can be used in place of a jacket. I do not like wearing jackets if I don’t have to. I was so excited to be able to review a fabulous shawl from a company that is dedicated to supporting Artisans from around the world.
One Leaf Creations was born during a trip to the Tibetan refugee camps in North India and remote villages of Nepal. After seeing the disparity and poverty in the villages, they were inspired to find a way to help by offering a fair market value for the beautiful products that were created by the families from the small villages. Today, One Leaf Creations offers stunning products handcrafted with pride by the villagers as well as their own creations.
I was able to review a lovely black paisley mixed wool shawl. This beauty is from the Tibetan community in Northern India. This is much more than just a shawl. It is a wonderful fabric that can be used as a throw blanket too. The color is black with muted ivory paisley pattern. It is a wool blend so it is not going to be heavy and itchy.
I love the size of the wrap as it has a nice long length of 82″ so you can really wrap it around you and stay nice and warm. We have been having some nasty weather here lately and it was just perfect to keep my core warm and even throw around my neck too.
I just love the neutral palette of the pattern as it will go with everything in my closet and look fabulous. I love pieces that can go from casual to elegant easily and this is definitely one that will do that. Paisley is one of my favorites and I am loving this print and the shawl. This will certainly get a workout this winter!
