Looking for a Massage Chair for My Sore Back

December 19, 2012 by Classystaff

Many years ago I had a run with my back. I was in 4 different car accidents within a a few years plus I turned wrong at work and really threw my back out. I am not really a bad driver; only one of them was my fault! LOL But as you can imagine, my back is not in the best shape.

I spent several years in therapy and chiropractic care and then we had the big accident. I was bed ridden for several weeks and that was the worst thing for my poor body. I think my hip was out of place for a year. Terrible! Every so often, I will get a flare up and suffer from bad back pains. I have heard that a massage chair does wonders on helping to minimize back pain so I told my husband and we have been looking around for one that would work for me.

Usually I can manage my back issues with healthy back tips like walking. Walking strengthens my back muscles and helps to keep everything in place for me. Exercising with the stretchy bands helps me. When I add some resistance, it helps to build muscle and that helps me too. Plus I need a firm mattress. If I sleep on something too soft, I am done for.

By using a massage chair, I think that will keep all of my muscles stimulated and that keeps the blood flowing to the muscles I need to keep strong. Sitting all day in my office chair is very taxing on my back but if I spend some time getting a full body massage, that would help my tight muscles relax and do the job they are supposed too.

I found some beautiful chairs and many of them are geared to household personal use. Some of them look just like a regular recliner and are calling my name. I have found the perfect one and now I am going to start saving up so my bad back will be happy once more.

Have you ever tried a massage chair? I used something similar at the chiropractors office, but I am curious on your view if you have been able to use one. I think it would be such an awesome way to relax at the end of the day.

I have looking around for me and my husband for something. HOWEVER I like the idea of a back massager that is portable so that I can move it form an armchair to the car and it also must have a heating function. Archstone makes one with Home and auto adaptors.

I need one myself. I have arthritis in my lumbar and more and have lots of back issues. I can elate to what you’re saying. You poor baby, that is a lot of accidents and once you start with the back trouble, it tends to never get any better. Let us know once you get it how it works for you. Sure does sounds inviting to me. I really want one too.

I am so sorry to hear about your accidents and troubles. Back problems have plagued me for years. I had a degenerated disc so I have to be careful of how I sleep and sit for long periods of time. Luckily, I have mostly overcome this and it’s “healed,” but I am very sorry to hear about your pain. Massages and chiropractic adjustments can be wonderful. I have never owned a massage chair, but many of them look and sit just like a regular recliner. To help while at work or in the car, they have portable massager/heaters that plug into your lighter or a regular outlet. Heat can also be a help if you can stand it.
