I love tea and enjoy tasting teas from all over the world. I love the different flavors that are combined to create wonderful tastes and aromas that are so comforting and delicious. I was able to sample a wonderful loose tea from a company known for the lovely tea blends.
You may have tasted the teas from the company before as they are the creators of Teas Tea, the bottled natural green tea. ITO EN is a company, who cares about the environment and social responsibility. They recycle the used tea leaves from production and upcycle them to make park benches, uniforms, pens and more. I was send a beautiful tin of loose tea called Ginger Tangerine Rooibos Tea. It is made from the South Africa’s Aspalathus Linearis plant because the fine needle-like leaves yield a gently flavored, caffeine-free liquor with amazing aroma and taste of ginger and tangerine.
I did not have a tea egg to steep the tea, so I simply added some loose tea to my hot water, allowed it to mellow out for a few minutes and the used a fine mesh cup strainer to pour it into my mug. The aroma of the tea was woodsy and fruity and the taste was wonderful. So smooth and full of flavor. I love the tangerine hints so much that I drank 3 cups in one day!
