Get Ready for the New Year With a 3-Day Cleanse + Recipes

December 29, 2012 by Classystaff

With the holiday season in full swing, people might be consuming more cookies and eggnog than they should as well as other “not-so-healthy” food and beverages. When January 1st rolls around you might be left feeling sluggish and blah. Omega Juicers has teamed up with Cleanse America to create a 3-Day Cleanse to help you to eliminate harmful toxins, restore their internal system, and reset your body for a healthier start to 2013.

Cleanse safely – For any personal health concerns, you may want to consult a doctor before proceeding.

I know I am going to be participating in something like this too! Here are the recipes for day 1.
3-Day Cleanse Brought to you By Omega Juicers https://twoclassychics.com
For each day there are 6 recipes to create.

Done properly, a cleanse is very beneficial to your body. Start off 2013 off with a fresh start. It’s a new year, and it’s a new you…..drink up! Your body will thank you!

POPEYE- C
Day 1, Recipe 1 of 6

Supercharge your morning! This recipe is quick, simple, and delicious. The vitamin C in oranges enhances the absorption of the iron in the spinach by 30%. Just these two ingredients working together create synergistic deliciousness.

4 oranges
1 bunch of spinach

Juice in an Omega Juicer and drink.

BEE FRUITY

Day 1, Recipe 2 of 6

There are a thousand different variations of fruit salads. And nothing like sweet conversation with a good breakfast. A good friend and I often share this breakfast in Austin, TX. It’s a great first meal of the day.

2 bananas
1 mango
2 cups of blueberries
2 tablespoons of bee pollen

Cut the banana and mango into bit sized pieces. Put into a bowl and add blueberries topped with bee pollen.

GET ROOTED
Day 1, Recipe 3 of 6

Did you know? – Beets are powerful health foods! They contain compounds that may reduce blood pressure, ease digestive disorders, and improve heart disease? They can also raise HDL (“good”) cholesterol and lower total (“bad”) cholesterol and triglycerides by 30% and 40%, according to our pharmacist Suzy Cohen.

3 carrots
1 beet (balm size)
Thumb size of ginger

Juice in an Omega Juicer and drink.

GREEN MACHINE
Day 1, Recipe 4 of 6

Because the food is blended, the assimilation of protien and minerals will be more efficient. If you are drinking the green machine after a workout, feel free to add double hemp seeds and a few more greens. When you drink a smoothie with a lot of protien 30 minutes after a workout, the protein synthesis is about 75% compared to only 30% after that.

2 large kale leaves (or 2 handfuls of other leafy greens)
2 bananas (frozen)
2 tablespoons hemp seeds
1 ½ cups of hemp milk
1 tablespoon spirulina

Place all ingredients in an Omega Juicer or an Omega high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Top with hemp seeds.

LEMON APPLE BLAST
Day 1, Recipe 5 of 6

Apple and lemon contain a lot of vitamin C and citrus acids. This assists in dissolving gallstones which are deposits of a composite of calcium salts such as oxalates and carbonates. Break ‘em down by drinking this juice!

2 small lemons
3 apples
2 inch piece of ginger

Juice in an Omega Juicer and drink.

CELERY STALKER
Day 1, Recipe 6 of 6

Open coconut and pour 1 cup of juice into a glass. Juice the rest of the ingredients and add to the coconut water. If coconuts are not available, the juice is great by itself.

1 cup coconut water
3 celery stalks
1 handful of greens or 1 bunch of spinach
1 cucumber
1 apple

Juice in an Omega Juicer and drink.

I must say, as someone with intestinal issues and a lot of knowledge on such subjects, I was ready to get very annoyed/offended that you were suggesting people do a cleanse. However, after all reading, I am not annoyed or offended at all!

Thank you for posting a safety warning! Most people don’t realize how bad cleanses can be for non-healthy people.

Also, this cleanse actually sounds healthy! So many cleanses revolve around drinking what are essentially just laxatives, which is dangerous and not very beneficial. Most cleanses also last for a longer period of time (also dangerous) and promote significant weight loss while on the cleanse (all weight loss you immediately gain back after eating again). This cleanse not only doesn’t promise and promote weight loss while on it, it actually has you drinking healthy things with nutrients, and you’re only on it for 3 days.

Thank you for sharing an actual healthy cleanse, focused on health and not weight loss!!

Interesting recipes. I’ve never used bee pollen before. I would like to try the lemon apple. I like sour apple and think this would be good.
